Your exchange starts at The Go-Abroad Fair
Is your goal to quickly learn a new language and discover another culture? If so, an exchange is a perfect match for this, as well as being good for your own development. As you will be in close contact with locals, you will get used to the way of life there and will soon feel comfortable in your new home. Interested? At The Go-Abroad Fair on 28 and 29 November, you will find out exactly what an exchange entails and whether it is something for you.

An exchange is the ideal opportunity to experience a new culture and to improve your language skills. This was also experienced by Marieke, who went to the United States for an exchange programme. "Living in a country for real is very different from reading about it."
Living in the United States had always been a dream of Marieke's: "I don't really remember why. Probably because of all the films sets. As I got a bit older, my interest in the US only grew, so I eventually chose American Studies. There are many contradictions and cultural differences in the US: very interesting." And what better way to discover them than by visiting the country yourself? Or as Marieke says herself, "When you spend three years learning about the United States, it's kind of crazy to have never been there."
Going abroad continues to attract Marieke. She would like to visit the United States again in the future, but she is also open to exploring other countries. "Coming to a new place and finding your niche there is just an adventure. I definitely want to experience that again."
